Speed is a real requirement
Some businesses need a credible site this quarter. Wix gets a non-technical owner to a published page with hosting, a visual editor, and basic SEO fields. We will use it when that is the brief — and name the limits. You do not own the same codebase as Next.js. Large catalogs and complex multi-location systems are where Wix starts to fight the plan. That is a fit question, not an insult.
When Wix is the right call

Home, services, about, contact — Wix can hold that. A thousand SKUs or a franchise directory is a different conversation.

Can a Wix site rank?
Yes, for many service businesses, if the pages are unique and the basics are set. It is not the most controllable environment for large ecommerce or complex location systems.
Will you talk us out of Wix?
Only if the brief needs something Wix will fight — a large catalog, heavy custom logic, or a multi-location system that needs its own templates. Otherwise speed-to-launch is a valid reason to stay.
Do you trash Wix compared with Webflow or WordPress?
No. Those tools win on different jobs. Wix wins on getting a straightforward site into the world with an owner who will edit it.
