Squarespace Web Design
Polished templates, used on purpose.
Squarespace is strong when brand presentation matters and the site is a curated set of pages — not a custom application. We design within its templates and tell you where the rails are.
A finished look without inventing a design system
Squarespace’s value is the template: type, spacing, and images that already look considered. You get hosting, an editor, and basic SEO fields without a repo. Layout freedom is narrower than Webflow. A large catalog with serious faceted navigation usually belongs elsewhere. We use it when the polished template is the point — not when we would spend the project fighting it.

When we recommend Squarespace
The brand has to look expensive on day one
A well-chosen template, with photography and type locked, can outclass a custom build that never quite gets finished.
The site is a portfolio of pages, not a database
Services, a journal, a contact form, a small product set — Squarespace is built for that shape.
You do not want plugin administration
One vendor, one editor. That is a feature for teams who will not maintain WordPress.

What a Squarespace build includes
- Template selection and art direction that match the brand — not a leftover demo aesthetic
- Page structure and on-page SEO the platform supports
- A contact or booking path that is obvious on mobile
- Editor guidance so new pages stay inside the system
- A clear list of requests we will not force the template to do
How we work inside the rails
Discover
We look at the offer, the photography you have, and whether a template can carry the IA.
Strategy
Template choice, page list, and the SEO basics we will set. We flag anything that needs a different platform.
Build / Optimize
We design in Squarespace, replace demo content, and set metadata and redirects from the old site.
Measure
We confirm you can edit, the form works, and the important URLs are the ones we intended.
What “polished” should mean
A site that looks intentional and that your team is not afraid to open. If you later need a visual CMS with more layout control, Webflow is the usual next conversation — not a moral upgrade, a different job.

Squarespace questions
Is Squarespace good enough for SEO?
For many brochure sites, yes — if titles, headings, and unique pages are in place. It is a weaker home for large catalogs and complex location systems that need custom templates.
How is this different from Wix?
Both are hosted builders. Squarespace is typically the more opinionated, template-forward choice. Wix is often the faster “owner can move anything” editor. We pick based on the brand and who will edit, not a ranking of winners.
Can you customize beyond the template?
Within the platform’s custom CSS and block system, yes. If the design needs pixel-level control or a custom data model, we should be on Webflow or a code stack.
Bring the photography and the page list
If the site is a curated brand presence, Squarespace may be enough. If it is a system of locations or products, we will say so before we start decorating a template.
